LIKEMINDS FOUNDATION UGANDA
Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU) emerged from the initiative of different actors who teamed up with the same cause to volunteer and support the affected communities during the lockdown period in various needs. This later led to the birth of the name Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU). This was started during the ashes of the COVID lockdown period and was driven by the urgent need to address the devastating impact of COVID 19 on vulnerable communities at the time. During this time, the pandemic exposed and amplified the existing inequalities which affected communities and families especially women, and youth coupled with the alarming rise in Gender Based Violence (GBV), unwanted pregnancies, school dropout rates, HIV and increased levels poverty among others.
