About LMFU
Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU) is anon governmental organization which was founded in 2022 and was officially registered and incorporated as an organization on the 9th day of February 2024 with URSB.
Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU) emerged from the initiative of different actors who teamed up with the same cause to volunteer and support the affected communities during the lockdown period in various needs. This later led to the birth of the name Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU). This was started during the ashes of the COVID lockdown period and was driven by the urgent need to address the devastating impact of COVID 19 on vulnerable communities at the time. During this time, the pandemic exposed and amplified the existing inequalities which affected communities and families especially women, and youth coupled with the alarming rise in Gender Based Violence (GBV), unwanted pregnancies, school dropout rates, HIV and increased levels poverty among others.
These problems led to the coming together of likeminded partners to support communities in addressing some of the existing social, economic, health and environmental related problems
OUR CORE VALUES AND PRINCIPLES
Likeminds Foundation Uganda shall be guided by the following values in all its operations.
a) Gender equity: We treat people with fairness and justice in their rights, distribution of benefits and responsibilities among all genders across different communities
b) Transparency and accountability: We believe and work with openness and accountability in the communities we serve, within our organization as well as with our partners.
c) Respect for diversity: As a team with diverse disciplines serving diverse communities, we work together as a family to meet the needs of vulnerable people by empowering them to harness their opportunities to respond to their challenges.
d) Inclusiveness: We serve different communities irrespective of their culture, sex, gender, religion, and nationality with a national and global perspective.
e) Partnership for efficiency: We value partnership as one of our key organization principles, we are committed to developing, maintaining, and nurturing partnerships, including alliances and linkages with institutions and Like-minded individuals who identify with our vision and mission.
f) Innovation: We embrace innovation as a catalyst for positive change, seeking creative solutions to address societal issues and improve the lives of women, men, and youth across different communities.

MISSION
To foster a world where women, men, young girls and boys thrive in an inclusive and equitable services to the community. Likeminds Foundation Uganda (LMFU) is committed to promoting gender equality and equity by improving access to education, mental health awareness and support HIV, Sexual reproductive health and Rights, research and innovation, skills development, Agriculture and livelihood support and monitoring and evaluation for sustainability.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION
The organization shall work to achieve the following objectives;
To Promote Gender equity and social protection within the vulnerable groups in the communities.
To advocate for behavioral change among vulnerable communities focusing on increased access to education, Mental health awareness and support, Sexual reproductive health and Rights, HIV/AIDS, climate change and Agricultural livelihoods.
To empower communities in agriculture and livelihood activities through mutual engagements, partnerships and volunteerism at different levels.
Promote evidence-based research to enhance informed decisions and innovations for sustainability.
Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system to assess the impact of the organization's programs on the lives of the people we serve.
